To guide the redesign, I worked with two distinct personas.
The first is the Explorer, someone who follows alternative culture on Instagram and wants an easy, cool way to explore music and learn about artists.
The second is the Creator, who is focused on fair compensation and needs a clear, trustworthy explanation of how Nina’s blockchain model supports them.

During my research into Nina Protocol’s value proposition, I noticed that the country-based playlists featured in the Nina Curations section strongly resonated with the personas’ needs, creating a natural alignment between the platform’s offer and user expectations.

New Sections

New Sections

Editorial Section

The new Editorial section features a selection of categories already present on the website, and is the part that gives the app its ‘blog’ feel.
Here, users can read articles curated by Nina's team and discover new music and interesting facts about artists and musical genres.

Explore Section

The new Explore section emphasises Nina's international and global appeal. A new feature has been created that allows users to discover new music through cities. For each city, you will find music that has been released there.

Outcome

Outcome

The redesign brings clarity and identity back to the app.
By dividing content into three focused menus, the home screen is no longer overloaded.
Nina’s editorial voice is integrated seamlessly, and music discovery is reimagined as a global, map-driven experience.
Both listeners and creators now have smoother, more meaningful journeys that reflect what makes Nina unique.
