In this project, football is reframed as a lens through which to observe society rather than a simple sport. Stadiums become symbolic spaces of belonging and conflict, where chants, banners, and rivalries turn into acts of social expression.

The design of the book was guided by the challenge of translating complex sociological ideas into an accessible and engaging reading experience. A clear typographic hierarchy supports long-form study, while carefully selected photography and diagrams make the content more tangible. Visual structure was used as a form of reasoning — turning academic theory into something that can be read, seen, and felt.

Designing for sociology required restraint and precision: avoiding abstraction while maintaining intellectual depth. The goal was to create a space where academic language could coexist with visual clarity and human emotion.

Descrizione di una Battaglia reveals how editorial design can act as a bridge between research and culture. By merging text, imagery, and structure, the project invites readers to reflect on identity, politics, and the shared performances that unfold within the spectacle of sport.
